Production at St Barbara Ltd.'s Simberi gold mine in Papua New Guinea halted March 7 due to an illegal work stoppage by members of its workforce.
Government-mediated talks are expected to begin later in the week of March 12. The mine's process plant will resume March 13 on a day-shift-only basis with limited mining activity.
St Barbara retained its full-year gold production guidance of between 115,000 and 125,000 ounces.
