Cordoba MineralsCorp. said April 11 that drilling resulted in the confirmation of ahigh-grade and shallow copper-gold discovery at the Alacran project within the copper-gold projectin Colombia.
The initial six holes from a preliminary 3,000-meter diamonddrilling program all hit significant copper and gold intercepts, some from nearsurface.
Results include 29 meters at 2.72% copper and 1.16 g/t of goldand 111 meters at 1.01% copper and 0.38 g/t of gold.
"The geological importance of the Alacran discovery confirmsour belief that the San Matias copper-gold project hosts porphyry copper-gold mineralizationand high-grade replacement or skarn-hosted copper-gold systems," said Presidentand CEO Mario Stifano.
