Inthe insurance broker space, SmithSquare Partners LLP and Waller Helms Advisors LLC tied for third place in thatleague table by deal value through three quarters, thanks to their work onCover-More Group Ltd.'s pending $105 million acquisition of Omaha, Neb.-based TravelexInsurance Services Inc. announced during the third quarter. andPerella Weinberg PartnersLP did not land any deals during the third quarter, but they tiedfor the top spot in the financial adviser deal value rankings through the firstthree quarters.
Basedon number of deals, Sica FletcherLLC ranked first in the insurance broker financial adviser leaguetable ranking with eights deals in the third quarter and ranked third in thatcategory through three quarters with 26 deals.
Themost recent quarter saw 102 deals in the insurance broker space, versus 116seen in the third quarter of 2015. Total deal value was $151 million, comparedto $928.3 million in the year-ago quarter.
