McLean, Va.-based Capital One Financial Corp. is planning to cut down around 400 jobs from its service operations in the company's Rolling Meadows, Ill., office, Chicago Tribune reported Aug. 10.
The company saw a decrease in call volumes because clients are now able to resolve issues by themselves due to enhanced digital tools, Capital One spokesman Sie Soheili told the publication.
Employees affected were given at least 16 weeks' notice. More than 600 employees will remain in the Rolling Meadows office, the news outlet added.
