Zoom Health Plan to drop out of Oregon health exchange in 2017

Zoom Health PlanInc. will exit Oregon's Affordable Care Act health exchange for 2017,the Portland Business Journal reported.

The company will continue to offer plans off the marketplace,the news publication said, citing the state's Department of Consumer and BusinessServices.

In July, the department orderedZoom Health Plan to accept members of the state's failed health insurance co-op, Oregon's Health CO-OP. The department also ordered Zoom HealthPlan to credit the maximum out-of-pocket amounts paid by the members to the co-op.

The co-op and HealthRepublic Insurance Co. have shutdown due to financial issues, while LifeWise Health Plan of Oregon Inc. has from the state's health insurancemarket, according to the report.
