Energy Transfer Partners' adjusted EBITDA crosses $2B in Q2 as it beats estimate

Energy Transfer Partners LP on Aug. 8 reported second-quarter adjusted EBITDA of $2.05 billion, up from $1.54 billion a year earlier.

The S&P Global Market Intelligence consensus estimate of adjusted EBITDA was $1.91 billion.

The partnership's distributable cash flow in the second quarter was $1.49 billion, an increase from $978.0 million a year earlier. Energy Transfer Partners reported net income of $602.0 million, an increase from $296.0 million a year earlier.

Energy Transfer Equity LP in a separate release reported net income attributable to partners of $355 million in the second quarter of 2018, up from the $212 million reported in the year-ago quarter.

Distributable cash flow, as adjusted, was $407 million compared to $240 million in the second quarter of 2017.

The partnership and subsidiaries reported revenues for the quarter amounting to $14.12 billion, compared to $9.43 billion in the 2017 quarter.
