Shareholders approve Firm Capital American Realty's trust conversion

Shareholders of Canada-based Firm Capital American Realty Partners Corp. voted to approve the company's conversion into an investment trust at a special meeting held Dec. 12.

Completion is slated for Jan. 1, 2020, subject to court approval, expected to be received Dec. 19, and final approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange Venture Exchange.

U.S.-focused multi-residential real estate investment company Firm Capital will then be known as Firm Capital American Realty Partners Trust. It will trade under its respective U.S. and Canada tickers FCA.U and FCA.UN, subject to regulatory confirmation.
