New Zealand's a2 Milk extends import partnership with China State Farm

New Zealand-based dairy company a2 Milk Co. Ltd. said Aug. 14 that it renewed its strategic arrangements with China State Farm Holding Shanghai Co. Ltd. for three more years from Dec. 6.

China State Farm has been a2 Milk's exclusive import agent for its milk products into mainland China since 2013. The Chinese firm also provides local market regulation consulting and product traceability quality control for a2 Milk in addition to the import agreement.

"We continue to value their very strong support of our China business with their deep local knowledge, capability and relationships within the China market," a2 Milk Managing Director and CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said during the signing ceremony at the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia, which was hosted by Australia's Federal Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment Steven Ciobo.
