Japan's seasonally adjusted tertiary industry activity index fell 0.5% in June to 105.6, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry data.

On an annual basis, the original index rose 0.7% to 106.0.

Among industries, wholesale trade registered the largest monthly decline of 2.5%, while electricity, gas, heat supply and water saw the biggest monthly increase of 1.7%.
