Hanssem Q3 profit climbs 27.5% YOY

Hanssem Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income came to 1,259.74 South Korean won per share, a gain of 27.5% from 988.08 won per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 22.78 billion won, an increase of 27.5% from 17.86 billion won in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 5.2% from 5.4% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 32.2% on an annual basis to 438.64 billion won from 331.87 billion won, and total operating expenses climbed 33.0% on an annual basis to 403.82 billion won from 303.69 billion won.

Reported net income rose 31.5% from the prior-year period to 28.71 billion won, or 1,587.91 won per share, from 21.84 billion won, or 1,208.00 won per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 1,172.80 South Korean won.
