NV Energy Inc. on Oct. 16 issued a request for proposals for the potential addition of 350 MW or more of renewable energy and battery storage projects.
The Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary is looking for solar, geothermal, wind, biomass and biogas technology projects within the state of Nevada, with a commercial operation date on or before Dec. 31, 2023. The company will also consider battery energy storage systems that are integrated with the proposed renewable energy resource.
The projects must be approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada.

"Our successful efforts to secure 1,001-megawatts of renewable energy earlier this year shows we are committed to obtaining renewable projects that make sense for our customers."
