Indo-Malay fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

4910491 said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, was 1.07 Sri Lankan rupees per share, a gain from 1.03 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 7.5 million rupees, an increase from 7.2 million rupees in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 62.5% from 24.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 7.0% year over year to 27.2 million rupees from 29.3 million rupees, and total operating expenses decreased 13.6% from the prior-year period to 15.3 million rupees from 17.7 million rupees.
