Pulling total production lower wasthe loss of unit 2 at EntergyCorp.'s Arkansas Nuclear One in Arkansas. According toa report filed with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, a plant shutdownwas initiated early Sept. 28 when the red train emergency diesel generator wasnot restored within the allowed outage time due to unforeseen circumstances. Priorto being taken offline, ANO-2 was operating at 100%.
Working to offset the loss wasincreased output at Ameren Corp.'sCallaway reactor in Missouri. The plant was pegged at 99% early Sept. 29,rising from 65% on Sept. 28.
