Vinh Khanh Cable Plastic Q2 profit climbs YOY

Vinh Khanh Cable Plastic Corp. said its normalized net income for the second quarter was 233.67 dong per share, an increase from 96.42 dong per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.04 billion dong, an increase from 1.25 billion dong in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 1.3% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 19.3% year over year to 241.34 billion dong from 202.24 billion dong, and total operating expenses rose 18.1% year over year to 232.55 billion dong from 196.86 billion dong.

Reported net income grew on an annual basis to 3.58 billion dong, or 275.00 dong per share, from 1.45 billion dong, or 112.00 dong per share.

As of July 21, US$1 was equivalent to 21,817.50 dong.
