National Guardian Life Insurance Co. Inc.'s board has named Knut Olson as president and CEO, effective Jan. 3, 2019.

He previously served as president of Foresters Life Insurance & Annuity Co. and the North American life and annuity division of Foresters Financial Services Inc. Olson will replace Mark Solverud who is set to retire by the end of April 2019.
