NEXON Q3 profit climbs 148.6% YOY

NEXON Co. Ltd. said its third-quarter normalized net income was ¥34.22 per share, an increase of 145.4% from ¥13.95 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥15.35 billion, a gain of 148.6% from ¥6.18 billion in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 25.4% from 14.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 36.5% on an annual basis to ¥60.40 billion from ¥44.26 billion, and total operating expenses grew 34.8% year over year to ¥37.69 billion from ¥27.96 billion.

Reported net income grew 156.7% on an annual basis to ¥19.60 billion, or ¥43.70 per share, from ¥7.64 billion, or ¥17.24 per share.
