An April14 note to staff by CEO Mark Thompson, TheNew York Times Publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and Executive Editor Dean Baquetsaid that the planned investment will be made over the next three years. The goalis to attract international audience by engaging them and reporting for and aboutthem, thus fostering international growth.
A newteam called NYT Global has been formed for this purpose. Joe Kahn and Stephen Dunbar-Johnsonwill head the team.
