Colliers International acquires controlling stake in Danish company

Colliers International Group Inc. acquired a controlling stake in Danish capital markets specialist Sadolin & Albak A/S, merging it into Colliers Denmark.

Peter Winther will lead the combined business as CEO, with Jeppe Schønfeld serving as deputy CEO in the region, Colliers said in a release, adding that partners of Sadolin and the existing leadership team of Colliers Denmark will retain a significant equity stake in the resulting business under Colliers' enterprise-partnership model.

Colliers Denmark will now have 150 professionals in total, including 46 from Sadolin, who will operate from Copenhagen, Aarhus, Vejle, Aalborg and Odense.

Chris McLernon, CEO of Colliers International EMEA, said the acquisition of Sadolin, combined with the company's purchase of a Finnish company earlier this year, has established Colliers as the dominant player in the Nordic commercial real estate market.

In May, Colliers agreed to acquire Frankfurt-based multifamily investment company Engel & Volkers Main - Taunus Gmbh.
