Hawthorn Bank selling branch to Branson Bank

Jefferson City, Mo.-based Hawthorn Bank, a unit of Hawthorn Bancshares Inc., has entered into an agreement to sell its branch in Branson, Mo., to Branson Bank, a unit of Branson Bancshares Inc.

The branch has total deposits of about $15 million. The deal excludes loans assigned to the branch and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2019.

Hawthorn Bank, after the completion of the transaction, will continue to operate 22 branch locations, mainly in central and west-central Missouri.
