Swiss Re H1 profit falls YOY

Swiss Re AG reported first-half net income attributable to common shareholders of $1.21 billion, down from $1.87 billion in the same period in 2016.

EPS for the period was $3.47, compared with $5.13 a year earlier.

Net premiums written was $16.82 billion in the period, compared with $18.68 billion a year ago.
