FortisBC, FortisBC Energy select new president/CEO

FortisBC Inc. and FortisBC Energy Inc. on Dec. 7 named Roger Dall'Antonia as president and CEO of both companies, effective immediately.

A 20-year industry veteran, Dall'Antonia joined FortisBC in 2014 and has held several executive leadership roles, including finance, strategic planning, regulatory affairs and most recently, customer service, energy solutions, information systems, business innovation, and conservation and energy management. He succeeds Michael Mulcahy, who died in November.

The two businesses, both of which operate under the FortisBC name, provide electricity and natural gas service and operate two LNG storage facilities in British Columbia.

On the same day, Fortis Inc. also announced that David Hutchens will take on a newly created role of executive vice president for western utility operations. He will continue as president and CEO of UNS Energy Corp. in Arizona while additionally providing oversight to FortisBC and FortisAlberta Inc. operations.

Nora Duke was also appointed as executive vice president for sustainability and chief human resource officer of Fortis Inc. She has been with the Fortis Group for 30 years and was appointed executive vice president for corporate services and chief human resource officer in 2015.
