Competition watchdog approves AXA's purchase of Liberty Mutual Insurance's Polish biz

ThePolish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection said April 5 that it gave theall-clear to AXA'sacquisition of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group's Polish unit Liberty Ubezpieczenia.

AXA willacquire the unit from Liberty Seguros Compania de Seguros y Reaseguros via itsPolish subsidiary AXA Towarzystwo Ubezpieczen i Reasekuracji SA.

LibertyMutual Insurance Group agreed to sell the Polish property and casual operationsto AXA in December 2015.
