Blue Capital Reinsurance Holdings Ltd. expects third-quarter catastrophe losses of $57.5 million, net of reinsurance and reinstatement premiums.
The estimated losses reflect the impact of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and two earthquakes in Mexico.
Its Sept. 30 book value per share is expected to be about $14.48. The estimates for 2017 incurred losses, net of reinsurance and reinstatement premiums, have driven a year-to-date decline in book value, including dividends, of 23.6%.
