Total Solar International starts building 52-MW solar plant in Japan

Total Solar International started construction of a 52-MW solar plant in Japan.

The Miyagi Osato solar park, which has achieved financial close, is expected to begin operating in 2021. It will be operated by Miyagi Osato Solar Park GK, a special purpose company 90% owned by Total Solar International and 10% owned by SoftBank subsidiary SB Energy Corp.

"This project is in line with Total's commitment to develop renewable production capacities worldwide and in particular in the Japanese market, where we actively pursue our development," said Julien Pouget, senior vice president of renewables at TOTAL SA.
