Report: SoftBank's Fortress evaluates sale for marine chassis provider Trac

SoftBank Group Corp.-owned Fortress Investment Group LLC is considering selling marine chassis provider Trac Intermodal LLC, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

One source told the news outlet that the Princeton, N.J.-based transportation equipment company could sell for roughly $1 billion, including debt. Fortress bought Trac, then known as Interpool, in 2007, Bloomberg noted.

A Fortress representative did not comment on the matter, while a Trac representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to Bloomberg.
