Report: Ceiling on emergency funding lowered for Greek banks

The ECB reduced to €69.1 billion the limit on emergencyliquidity assistance that Greek banks can access, Reuters reported May 5.

The Bank ofGreece SA attributed the ECB's action to an improvement in liquidityconditions of the country's banking sector, according to the report.

In April, the upper limit of the emergency funding forGreece's banks was lowered to €69.9 billion.
