T-Mobile Polska SA on June 9 commercially launched its 5G network in Poland.
With about 1,600 base stations, the Deutsche Telekom AG unit initially launched its 5G network in Warsaw and its vicinity, including Łódź, Kraków, Poznań, Wrocław, Płock, Opole, Częśtochowa, Rzeszów Bielsko-Biała, Kielce and the Upper Silesia Industrial District, the company said in a June 8 news release.
The network will cover up to 6 million people in 46 cities and towns all over Poland by the end of June.
Subscribers of any of the plans for individual customers offered from September 2019 or of the MagentaBIZNES tariff can connect to the operator's 5G network for free. Customers who sign a new contract or annex with a new 5G device will also have access to the 5G network.
The 5G connection can also be activated through the My T-Mobile app.
