Kingwire, Cameron Wire & Cable net loan for merger transaction

Private equity firm Kinderhook Industries LLC acquired Kingwire (KWI LLC) and affiliates and combined it with Cameron Wire & Cable, the companies said.

Financing was provided by a Maranon Capital-led debt syndicate that included Capital One, MUFG and Alliance Partners.

The consolidated wire and cable distribution platform "will create meaningful synergies across procurement, value-added services and expansion of the company's distribution reach," according to a Jan. 10 statement.

Chicago-based Kingwire provides wire and cable products for residential and commercial markets. Little Rock, Ark.-based Cameron Wire & Cable distributes commercial and industrial wire, cable and accessories.
