Luca Blasi leads a team of traded risk valuation and trading controls specialists at the Bank of England. His responsibilities cover valuation, product control and trading controls (front, middle and back office) of major investment banks trading operation in the UK. Previously he held international senior leadership positions in investment banking and financial advisory.

Phil is the EMEA business head for the Private Market Valuations team at S&P Global with 20 years experience working across financial markets.
Phil has led the EMEA team since 2016 where he manages a team of client service professionals providing valuation advisory services across illiquid debt and private equity. He has played a central role in developing the product offering within S&P and driving technology initiatives to bring reliability and efficiencies into valuation services.
Before joining S&P Global, Phil spent 10 years working in investment banking within leveraged finance and restructuring teams where he managed exposures of up to £1bn per transaction. Philip led negotiations with management teams and private equity firms to improve the credit metrics of the book through balance sheet restructures, covenant resets and deal amendments.
Philip is a CFA charter-holder and has a BA from Oxford University.

Laura joined the Private Valuation Services team at S&P Global in 2015. Over the last 9 years, Laura has been instrumental to S&P Global's drive to create new product offerings, especially around valuation practice, due to the changing regulatory landscape.
Laura has over 15 years of extensive training and hands-on expertise in valuing illiquid and complex securities across capital structures, industries, and geographies. She advises senior fund management in establishing best-in-class valuation policies and procedures.
Before joining S&P Global, Laura spent 4 years at Esposito Private Equity Group, where she was responsible for all aspects of strategy, sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring. Earlier in her career, Laura was a buy-side analyst at Beal Bank, the largest privately owned bank in the state of Texas, where she focused on valuing distressed debt instruments during the global credit crisis.
Laura is a frequent speaker in industry conferences and has authored several publications. A cum laude graduate of Principal College in Elsah, IL, Laura has held the Series 7, 24, 66, and 79 securities registrations.

Alessandro Ferretti is the Head of Private Markets & Assessments (PMA) and a Vice President at S&P Global Market Intelligence. During his time at the firm, he has held several leadership positions—primarily in the Equities and Analytics area—that showcase his ability to drive growth and optimize operations. With a special interest in strategy and innovation, he has a proven track record of leading cross functional teams to deliver new solutions for buy side and sell side partners.
In his current role as Head of Private Markets & Assessments, Alessandro’s responsibilities include P&L management, overseeing product strategy, business development, and customer engagement for the Private Valuations and Credit Risk Assessment Scorecards products. He also partners across the division to advance a firm-wide strategy that positions S&P Global for growth in private markets.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Alessandro worked at Bear Stearns Private Client Services in London, where he assisted clients with alternative investment products.
Educated in the United Kingdom, Alessandro holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Business from European School of Economics and a Master of Science in Global Banking and Finance from Regent’s University London.

Executive Director, Private Markets & Assessments
Peter Alleston is the regional head for Private Equity & Debt Services for Asia-Pacific at S&P Global Market Intelligence, with specific focus on business development and client engagement.
Peter joined S&P Global in 2015 with equity derivatives, private equity, private credit, and special situations experience. He has spoken at regional conferences and published thought leadership articles on topics including regulation, accounting, and valuation best practice. Prior to joining the company Peter spent nine years at Deutsche Bank serving as Vice President - Valuation, spending time in Singapore, Hong Kong and London. He has also worked in various roles at Credit Suisse and BDO Stoy Hayward in the UK.
He holds a MSc in Mathematical Trading & Finance from CASS Business School London, a MA in Economics from Cambridge University, and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He is based in Singapore.
