Conway Irwin is a director in the Financial and Capital Markets group, at S&P Global Energy, part of a dedicated research team that provides integrated climate and cleantech advisory research to the financial sector.
Her work focuses on cleantech (solar, wind, hydrogen, batteries, and storage) and on the broader energy transition, including changes in financial flows and regulations in response to shifts in global energy markets.
Conway has more than a decade of experience in energy and commodities markets as a journalist and analyst in both the public and private sectors in the US, Russia, and China.
Conway holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Steve Piper is Director of Energy Research with S&P Global Market Intelligence. He has been with the company since 2009. Steve specializes in market price forecasting, economic feasibility assessment, demand forecasting and environmental analysis. Steve manages strategic research and forecasting for SNL Energy’s clients in the utilities, natural gas and coal industries.
Prior to his role at S&P Market Intelligence, Steve held positions at Platts, RDI and RCG/HaglerBailly.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College and an Master in Project Management from the School of Public Affairs at University of Maryland-College Park.

Chad has over 10 years of experience in north america power fundamentals and has served as both a regional lead covering the western interconnect as well as a topical lead covering clean resource adequacy, flexibility, resiliency, grid modernization, and asset valuations. He has authored whitepapers and presentations contextualizing the role of power and renewables in the 4th industrial revolution as well as external business environment influences on the sector. Chad has developed numerous proprietary models and tools concerning project economics, net cost analysis, nodal pricing, energy scarcity pricing, flexible resource adequacy, REC price forecasting, and RPS compliance.
Chad holds a BBA in Business Economics from the University of North Texas.

Duncan Anderson leads an R&D team in the S&P Commodity Insight data organization focused on applications of artificial intelligence systems to gas, power, agriculture, and climate.
Duncan Anderson leads an R&D team in the S&P Commodity Insight data organization focused on applications of artificial intelligence systems to gas, power, agriculture, and climate. This team is currently focused on understanding the relationship between weather/climate variables and the power system, with an emphasis on the forecasting of nodal real-time and day-ahead LMPs.
Mr. Anderson has worked in North American power market forecasting for ten years, building bespoke and commercial power market forecasting models focused on capacity expansion modeling, wholesale power price forecasting, and climate policy analysis. Before joining IHS in 2014, Duncan worked at Charles River Associates and Berkeley Research Group.
Duncan completed a masters degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at The University of Texas at Austin in 2020, with a thesis focused on using simulation models and clustering algorithms to place infrastructure in logistics networks. He holds a dual undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Applied Economics and Environmental Engineering
