Raven Capital Management selects IHS Markit for portfolio monitoring and reporting

Raven Capital Management LLC ("Raven"), a New York-based alternative credit and equity investment manager, has selected IHS Markit's portfolio monitoring software to support its direct lending business. Raven Capital will leverage IHS Markit's technology to improve operational efficiency and enhance communications with its investors.

As the firm continued to expand its operations, it was looking for a solution to simplify investment data workflows, reduce the number of manual operational tasks performed by staff, and more quickly fulfill investor reporting requests. IHS Markit worked with the Raven team to identify a software solution that will centralize investment information, automate common reporting tasks, and give the firm robust features that are easily configurable to their investment process, such as tools for tracking investment allocations to funds.

The Raven team will leverage IHS Markit's iLEVEL Software to create a central source of truth for portfolio monitoring and reporting. The firm will also use the Prism Virtual Data Room to share information with limited partners, including dashboards and other data available through easy integration with iLEVEL.

Chris Felice, Principal, CFO and CCO of Raven, said, "We chose to work with IHS Markit because of the flexibility of their software and the breadth of their experience across private markets. They offered an easy-to-implement solution that meets our specific investment workflow needs, enables improved communication with our investors, and builds a foundation of robust data management to support the future growth of our firm."

"We are excited to partner with Raven to support their continued growth," said James Penniman, Head of Commercial Strategy for the Solutions Division at IHS Markit. "Our technology supports the needs of alternative asset managers across all types of fund structures and asset classes, giving firms the adaptability to respond to market changes and take advantage of new opportunities."

IHS Markit is a leading software and solutions provider for private credit investors, with tools that enable asset allocators and investment managers to streamline pipeline management, underwriting, deal execution and funding, loan administration and reconciliation, agent services, portfolio management, valuations and more.
