We are delighted that IHS Markit has been awarded 'Risk Management Pricing and Valuation Provider of the Year' at GlobalCapital's Global Derivatives Awards 2021, which were announced on 29 September. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to continually evolving and extending our risk management and valuation capabilities across all asset classes in the areas of counterparty credit risk, traded market risk, XVA, scenario stress testing and buy side risk.
Speaking of the win, Global Derivatives Awards editor William Folkard said: "IHS Markit's well-established technological offering and long-standing client relationships helped it to stand out in the field. Its sustained growth and capture of market share was a key differentiator for the group. The pandemic meant that 2020/1 was a highly volatile time for risk pricing. This was highly problematic for many less established participants, who struggled in the turbulent environment. IHS Markit leveraged its incumbency to not only increase its market depth, but also its market breadth, as demonstrated by the turnover of product offering at levels commensurate with more normal market times."
Mark Findlay, Head of Financial Risk Analytics at IHS Markit commented: "We are honoured to receive this award in 2021 on behalf of our talented and dedicated team, our partners and alongside our amazing customers who share in our success. We continue to strive for innovation, delivering new products and capabilities for customers, tirelessly supporting them locally in each region in their Risk Management and Pricing needs today and for the future. This award further motivates and excites us on our journey of partnering with our customers and making them more successful."
