NM regulators approve Xcel utility's request to build new gas capacity

The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission voted 2-1 on May 7 to allow Xcel subsidiary Southwestern Public Service to build seven new resource projects totaling almost 3.85 gigawatts of nameplate capacity.
