True North Advisors acquires Clear Rock Advisors

Dallas-based True North Advisors LLC expanded its footprint in Texas with the acquisition of Clear Rock Advisors LLC on Sept. 17.

Financial and legal terms of the deal will not be disclosed, according to a news release.

Founded in 2016 by Charles Hall Jr., Ty Sanders and Royce Medlin, Clear Rock Advisors is a wealth management and investment firm with offices in Dallas, Austin and Kerrville, Texas. It had about $470 million in assets under management as of Aug. 31.

The transaction is True North Advisors' first acquisition since entering into a strategic growth partnership earlier this year with Wealth Partners Capital Group LLC and HGGC LLC's Aspire Holdings platform. As of Aug. 31, True North Advisors had $3.9 billion in assets under management.
