Aareon
Manfred Alflen is retiring as CEO of Aareon AG at the end of March, the company's parent Aareal Bank AG
Alflen, who has been in Aareon's top management for 20 years, will be succeeded by Hartmut Thomsen, currently president for central and Eastern Europe for application software firm SAP SE.
Vanquis Bank
Robert East is stepping down from his roles as an independent nonexecutive director at Provident Financial PLC and as chairman of unit Vanquis Bank Ltd. amid a restructuring of the latter's board.
Provident Financial board members Patrick Snowball, Malcolm Le May, Neeraj Kapur, Andrea Blance, Angela Knight, Paul Hewitt, Graham Lindsay and Margot James will also become board members of Vanquis. As a result, existing Vanquis nonexecutive directors have stepped down.
Additionally, Neil Chandler and Gary Thompson, managing director and finance director of Vanquis Bank, respectively, will leave Provident Financial.
WH Ireland
WH Ireland Group PLC named Michael Bishop wealth management head, effectively immediately.
Bishop replaces Stephen Ford, who is stepping down from the role and as an executive director to pursue other opportunities.
The company said Bishop will lead the next stage of the division's development as it seeks to meet its goal of reaching at least £3 billion of discretionary funds under management.
