GIC Housing Finance names additional directors

India-based GIC Housing Finance Ltd. said its board approved the appointment of Prafulla P. Chajjed and Rani Singh Nair as additional nonexecutive independent directors.

The appointments will be for a two-year term, according to a March 13 stock exchange filing.

Chajjed is currently a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a director at SBI Mutual Fund Trustee Company Pvt. Ltd., while Nair is former chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes and special secretary to the government of India.
