German renewables operator Encavis AG bolstered its solar footprint in Spain and Denmark with the acquisition of three solar parks in two separate transactions.
In Spain, the company acquired the remaining 19.9% stake in the 300-MW Talayuela solar park, located in the province of Extremadura, from Statkraft AS, becoming the sole owner of the facility.
Encavis said in a Dec. 29 statement that it now owns 500 MW of solar capacity in Spain, including the 200-MW La Cabrera facility which it acquired in May 2020.
Meanwhile in Denmark, the company agreed to purchase two solar parks with a combined generation capacity of 105 MW from European Energy A/S, according to a Dec. 28 release.
The deal involves the operational 34-MW Svinningegården solar park in the northwestern part of Zealand and the 71-MW Rødby Fjord Lolland solar park in the very southwestern part of Zealand, which is set to go online in the first quarter of 2022.
The facilities hold 10-year power purchase agreements with "reputable tech companies" based on a pay-as-produced structure. Svinningegården is unsubsidized whereas Rødby Fjord will benefit from a 20-year feed-in-tariff from the Danish Ministry of Energy, Utilities and Climate.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
