Codelco's copper production for the first nine months of 2021 remained flat year over year at 1.2 million tons, the state-owned miner said Oct. 29.
For the third quarter, output declined 7.6% year over year to 389,000 tons, according to Bloomberg News' calculations reported on the same day.
Codelco noted that its third-quarter production was impacted by the workers' strike at the Andina Division operation. The company reached a 36-month labor deal with two unions at the mine in early September.
