Managing Director, Co-head of North American M&A
Jay Hofmann is Co-Head of J.P. Morgan’s North American M&A business. Previously, he was Co-Head of the North American Technology M&A practice. During his career, Jay has advised hundreds of corporate and financial sponsor clients on mission-critical strategic transactions. Jay joined J.P. Morgan in 2000 after graduating from Columbia Business School with an MBA in Finance & Economics (Beta Gamma Sigma) and also has a AB in Government (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from the College of William & Mary. Before entering business school, Jay worked for three years as an analyst and project manager at a boutique strategy consulting firm advising technology and telecommunications companies.

Joe Mantone is the News Desk Manager for the U.S. financial institutions group at S&P Global Market Intelligence and the author of a quarterly white paper on M&A and equity capital markets activity. He also hosts the new podcast The Pipeline: M&A and IPO Insights.
Joe joined the U.S. FIG team in 2008 and covered investment banks for more than 10 years before moving into his current role. Joe has been working as a business journalist for nearly 20 years and previously worked for The Wall Street Journal and the Crain Communications magazine, Modern Healthcare. Joe is based in New York.
He holds a master’s degree in journalism from Roosevelt University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Arizona State University.

Anton Sahazizian is a Managing Director and Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at Moelis & Company. He previously served as the Firm’s Head of U.S. Mergers & Acquisitions where he was responsible for the growth and expansion of the U.S. franchise. Anton has over 25 years of investment banking experience, with expertise in originating and executing M&A mandates across a broad range of industry verticals.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Anton was a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at UBS Investment Bank in New York. He started his investment banking career in the Los Angeles office of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and was one of the founders of UBS’s Los Angeles office and their Exclusive Sales and Divestitures Group. Prior to investment banking, Anton was a securities lawyer with McMillan Binch and Goodman and Carr in Canada.
Anton holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and graduated from Queen’s University Law School in Kingston, Ontario. He received an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Joe is an Associate Director within the Desktop Product & Market Development team with a focus on the Corporates and Professional Services segment.
Joe is an Associate Director within the Desktop Product & Market Development team with a focus on the Corporates and Professional Services segment. He has been with S&P Global since 2012 working in various roles within the organization, including Client Support, CMBS analysis for S&P Global Ratings, and a Commercial rep for several different customer segments. He now oversees Product and Market Development for the Corporates and Professional Services workflows with a focus on the S&P Capital IQ Desktop.
