Summary

With the full-year earnings season around the corner, we welcome you to join us in a live webinar to discuss our expectations and opportunities for dividends in 2025.

After several years of robust recovery, European dividends are now facing new challenges and some high-profile companies issued profit warnings. We will analyse whether the trends we have seen in 2024 are expected to continue and what sectors could surprise throughout the year.

To help in our analysis, we look forward to welcoming Paul Watters, Head of Credit Research for S&P Global Ratings in Europe to highlight the latest rating trends across the investment grade companies in the region. We will also be joined by Visible Alpha's Director of Research, Philip Harrison, who will guide us through the drivers behind recent changes in analysts' consensus estimates and where future volatility may arise, powered by Visible Alpha's unique datapoints.

We will analyze some of the major risks and opportunities the region faces, covering topics including:

  • Credit outlook for key sectors in the region
  • Dividend forecasts from key sectors such as the banking, oil & gas and automotive sectors
  • Upside/downside risk on major indices, SX5E, SX7E, SD3E and FTSE100
  • The importance of share buybacks and companies’ evolving capital allocation plans
