Susana Santos is an emissions researcher with the International Upstream group and specializes in the research and modeling of greenhouse gas emissions for upstream oil and gas assets.Susana's responsibilities include GHG emissions quantification for assets in the Americas on the Vantage platform. Before joining S&P Global Commodity Insights, Susana worked in Brazil as a research and development reservoir engineer and project lead in industry-led projects and had a research affiliate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on uncertainty management during field development planning and reservoir management.
Susana has a multidisciplinary background, holding an undergraduate degree in geology from the University of Lisbon (Portugal), a Master of Science in petroleum economics and management from IFP School (France), and a Ph.D. in petroleum engineering from the University of Campinas (Brazil).
