New York Life Insurance Co. appointed Richard White to the newly created role of chief data officer for its retail life business, Digital Insurance reported.

White most recently served as vice president of data and analytics for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.


Highmark Inc. appointed Brian Rinker market president for the central and northeastern Pennsylvania regions, and John Lufburrow vice president of sales for those regions.


Sammons Financial Group Inc. appointed Bryce Biklen vice president and chief distribution officer for its Sammons Independent Annuity Group division.

He will lead the group's distribution teams for Sammons' member companies.

Property and casualty

Aon PLC appointed Pablo Munoz CEO for reinsurance solutions in Latin America, Reinsurance News reported.

He will succeed Alejandro Galizia, who has been appointed CEO for commercial risk, health, retirement and data analytics for Latin America at the company.


Hamilton Insurance Group appointed Hanni Ali to the newly established role of senior vice president of strategic partnerships for its insurance-linked securities platform Hamilton ILS, formerly Hamilton Capital Partners.


Sompo International Holdings Ltd. appointed David Carter chief underwriting officer and executive vice president of the Sompo Global Risk Solutions strategic business unit.


Hastings Mutual Insurance Co. promoted Renee Beauford to senior vice president of operations, Insurance Business America reported.

She will add responsibility for marketing operations to her current oversight of the company's claim, product development and actuary functions.


QBE North America appointed Tom Fitzgerald president of specialty and commercial.

QBE North America is part of QBE Insurance Group Ltd.


Peter Sydenham will retire as global co-leader of specialty lines and head of marine, aviation and agriculture at Swiss Re AG, The Insurance Insider reported.

He will continue to carry out nonexecutive and consultancy work for the company following his retirement.
