China places anti-dumping duties on hydroiodic acid imports from US, Japan

China's Ministry of Commerce will impose anti-dumping duties on hydroiodic acid imports from the U.S. and Japan.

The anti-dumping tariffs will take effect Oct. 16 and last for five years, with rates set at 123.4% for U.S. suppliers, and at 41.1% for Japanese ones.

Hydroiodic acid is a commonly used in chemical and pharmaceutical intermediates, disinfectants, dyes and analytical reagents.
