French private investment house Ardian bought a majority stake in Opteven Assurances SA from multinational insurance giant Aviva PLC and private equity firm Atalante SAS for an undisclosed amount.
Atalante, doing business as Capzanine, will reinvest in Opteven, together with the management of the automotive-service specialist.
The Lyon, France-based company focuses on mechanical breakdown coverage and roadside assistance, alongside home assistance, healthcare and personal services.
The acquisition will support Opteven's organic growth and boost its external growth strategy.
The deal has been approved by the ACPR, France’s banking and insurance supervisory authority.
