Asset manager Affiliated Managers Group Inc. filed a registration statement for the potential sale of an indeterminate number of securities.

The securities include debt securities, common stock, preferred stock, depositary shares, warrants, subscription rights, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units.

Net proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.
