New York-based biotech company BeyondSpring Inc. said Richard Brand resigned as CFO, effective Feb. 20.

Brand's departure is not the result of any disagreement with the company or the board on any matter relating to the company's operations, policies or practices.

The company named Amy Yang, the company's controller, as interim CFO. She will continue in the position until a new CFO is selected.

BeyondSpring is in the process of evaluating candidates for the CFO position.
