Trek Metals kicks off drill program at Kroussou zinc project in Gabon

Trek Metals Ltd. said Feb. 1 that it kicked off a drill program at its Kroussou zinc project in Gabon, which is designed to confirm the presence of near-surface zinc-lead mineralization.

About eight to 10 holes will be drilled at the Dikaki prospect to varying maximum depths averaging about 50 meters.

The program is expected to take four to six weeks to complete, with assays expected during the second quarter.

Additionally, the company received commitments from sophisticated and professional investors for a strategic share placement to raise A$500,000, via the issuance of 16,666,667 shares at 3 Australian cents apiece.

Proceeds will be used to assist with funding the upcoming drill program and ongoing exploration at Kroussou, to seek and access new resource opportunities and for general working capital.
