British Telecom reached an agreement to become a European distribution partner for Google LLC's new cloud gaming platform Stadia.
The partnership between the two companies will use BT's Superfast Broadband 2 service available in the U.K., with the telecom company launching a limited Google Stadia offer for its fiber broadband users, according to a company news release.
Stadia said in a statement that it expects more than 120 games to come on its platform this year, with the goal of more than 10 games exclusive to the platform in the first half. The cloud gaming platform was rolled out in November 2019.
Alphabet Inc. is the parent company of Google.
