Report: SoftBank's Vision Fund to lead US$700M funding for Katerra

Japan-based SoftBank Group Corp.'s Vision Fund is expected to lead a US$700 million financing round for construction startup Katerra Inc. that would value the Menlo Park, Calif.-based startup at more than US$4 billion, The Information reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The funding would boost Katerra's total equity capital to more than US$2 billion, according to the Jan. 14 report.

A SoftBank-led group invested US$865 million in Katerra in early 2018.
