NS Shopping profit beats consensusin Q3

NS Shopping Co. Ltd said its third-quarter normalized net income was 4,384.31 South Korean won per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 711.90 won per share.

EPS declined 18.2% year over year from 5,361.93 won.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 14.77 billion won, a decline of 18.2% from 18.06 billion won in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 14.5% from 18.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew year over year to 101.87 billion won from 100.24 billion won, and total operating expenses climbed 9.4% from the prior-year period to 79.23 billion won from 72.43 billion won.

Reported net income fell 17.7% year over year to 17.77 billion won, or 5,275.58 won per share, from 21.60 billion won, or 6,413.00 won per share.

As of Nov. 16, US$1 was equivalent to 1,172.80 South Korean won.
